Rolling the Credits
The site info section, for anyone who hasn't realized this yet, is the staff listing section.
I mean, I'm only the article guy but I've been getting requests for staff positions. Sure, I'm one of an increasingly small number of staff members who have been here since the early goings of the site. And I do, in fact have a lot of creative input regarding what goes on in the world of EarthBound.net. Of course, nobody who hasn't been to an IRC meeting with me knows that. To everyone else I'm just the article guy.
Which leads me to wonder why people are asking me to hand out staff positions. I may have mentioned this in another article, I may have not. However, I know for certain that reidman and Tomato, the webmasters of this site have reiterated over and over again that we are happy with the staff we have now.
If anybody is aspiring to be a staff member, which I know some of you are, don't let this article spoil your hopes or anything like that. That's Ultimoo's responsibility as staff article writer. Assuming that you're really enthusiastic and interested in being a staff member, you definitely need to come to the meetings. The standard meeting schedule is Monday at 8:00p.m., where you can find just about every staff member, and Friday at 8:00p.m. However on Friday, many staff members such as reidman and myself aren't usually there....All meetings take place in the IRC chat on Undernet #earthbound. I can write a whole article on what that channel's been through. Expect that one on Saturday or Sunday if I don't have as much time on my hands. One thing you're going to see a lot less of in my articles is direct mentioning of names.
You wouldn't believe the amount of heat I've been taking. Anyway, backtracking to the early goings of this site, just about everyone on the staff with the exception of a few who shall remain un-named have not been at any of the meetings. I don't know if they've been only at the meetings that have been unattended by myself, but it's kind of aggravating to see a staff list a mile long made up mostly of people who never do anything for the site. I'm not pointing any fingers at anyone, before you all send me letter bombs. Nor am I criticizing any single member of the staff, or the EarthBound Movement. The bottom line of this article is an encouragement on every member of the EarthBound Movement, staff member or not, to stop whining about what we don't have for you in EarthBound.net, and do your part to be a better member.
